Two-piece, all-leather Bates street suit from the 1970s/early'80s, listed in Bates catalogs as the Safari jacket & Bush pants, both in dark saddle brown, full nylon lining uppers & lowers. Worn very little, excellent condition, no scuffs or crash damage, all zippers/snaps/belt loops/buckles intact.
Jacket is size 40, has zippered front plus snaps, four exterior pockets with snap-down flaps, waist belt with brass buckle, zippered sleeves; in amazing condition for age, obviously worn very little, virtually no wear, lining is clean, stain-free, all seams intact. Pants are cargo style with two slash front pockets, two rear pockets with snaps, belt with brass buckle, waist is 34", inseam 29" (with enough material to extend at least an inch); condition is as-new, the pants appear to have never been worn. From period Safari jacket magazine advertisements -- "This is a jacket with timeless good looks, updated for today's rider with zippered sleeves and a hidden front zipper, " noted one Bates ad, while another pointed out that the Safari was useful off the bike, too: For that crisp drive in the mountains and an evening at the inn.
